Soft Launch - eLab City is open to the Second LIfe public

eLab City is now open. During Summer 2008, we will be in a soft launch period. As we still have work to do, the sim may be temporarily closed to the public from time to time, but we expect it will be open nearly all of the time. So - we wanted to invite you to stop by and visit!

All the major structures are in place, and our first exhibition is ready for viewing at the Design center. This SLURL will take you to the "VIirtual Virtual" show in the eLab City Design Center.

If your computer can handle it, we recommend setting draw distance to 512 meters, and turning on atmospheric shaders and water reflections (all in edit --> preferences).

Next steps - shops, clubs, entertainment, events, residents, research projects and more!

Plus - two more islands are on the drawing board :)
